This article, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA Network Open), describes a qualitative study conducted by Dr. Doll, Bridgette Hempstead of Cierra Sisters, and the ECANA team. The team used interviews with Black women diagnosed with endometrial cancer to understand their experiences identifying symptoms, seeking care, and receiving a diagnosis.
Ultimately, the team uncovered some reasons that may contribute to the trend of Black women being diagnosed with endometrial cancer at later stages.
