Research Roundtable: Black Women's Experiences Before the Diagnosis

September 4, 2020

Our first Research Roundtable features a conversation between Dr. Kemi Doll, Project Lead of ECANA and Health Services Researcher, and Bridgette Hempstead, Founder and President of Cierra Sisters and ECANA Steering Group Advisor, about our qualitative interview study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in May, 2020.

This was the first study of which we are aware to center the voices of Black women with endometrial cancer in an attempt to understand pre-diagnostic experiences.

Watch the recording to learn from the investigators about this unique study and implications for clinicians, researchers, and Black women. Attendee Q&A follows the conversation.
